Land of Oz is a climbing area in Oregon, about 4 miles from the town of Callahan. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Westeros just 0.1 mile away and Griffin's Roost and Inca Rock each about 0.2 mile off. The area is a compact hub of rock, with several climbing areas and a short hike, Callahans Climbing Trail, within a third of a mile. The climbing here runs from sport and trad routes, with a few top-rope options. There are eight routes in total, and the grades range from 5.8 to 5.11a. Among them are Kansas Twister, a 5.8 sport route, and Wicked Witch, a 5.10a sport route. The trad route This ain't Kansas is 5.10b, and the hardest is Beautiful Wickedness at 5.11a. Summer is the driest and warmest stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 17 or more days. That station sits roughly 1,250 feet lower than the area, so temperatures at the crag run cooler.
