Mind Planet is a climbing area in Oregon, about 4 miles from the town of Callahan. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Turtle Rock, Singer Slab and Double Chocolate all about 0.1 mile away, and Troll's Throne at 0.2 mile. The area is known for its sport climbing, with routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.12c. The climbing here is entirely sport, and the grade range runs from 5.6 up to 5.12c. Some of the named routes include Booder Skies at 5.6, Inside Passage at 5.10a/b and Mind Bender at 5.12c. The Tvedt family has a hand in several of these, with David and Dee Tvedt among the first ascent parties. Summer is the driest and warmest time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 17 to 18 days. That station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures at Mind Planet run cooler. For a change of pace, Callahans Climbing Trail is about 0.4 mile away, and paddlers can head to Morgan Creek, about 4 miles off.
