Roamze booking texts

Roamze sends text messages about bookings made on Roamze to people who ask for them. Travelers who book a trip with a guide on Roamze can get texts about that booking. Guides who list trips on Roamze can get texts when a booking request or a payment comes in. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

What we send

• To guides: a text when a traveler sends a booking request, and when a traveler pays a deposit, balance or full payment.
• To travelers: a text when your payment is received, and a reminder the day before your trip.

Every text starts with “Roamze:” and says how to stop them.

How you sign up

Texts are optional and off unless you turn them on. Travelers tick the text box on a booking request form after entering their mobile number. Guides tick the text box when they sign up as a guide, or in their dashboard under Settings → Text alerts. The box is never ticked for you, and you don't need to tick it to book a trip or use Roamze. Next to the box, travelers see:

How often

Message frequency varies with your bookings. A traveler usually gets one to three texts per booking. A guide gets one text per booking request or payment.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Roamze does not charge for texts.

How to stop

Reply STOPto any Roamze text to stop all texts. We'll send one message confirming you're unsubscribed and nothing after that. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. To start again, reply START. Guides can also turn texts off in Settings → Text alerts.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We use your mobile number only to send the texts you asked for. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your text opt-in with third parties for their marketing. See the Text messages section of our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
