Meadows Creek Tie Nordic is an easy, short out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Hood River Ranger District. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and sits at about 4,000 feet, with a high point of 4,005 feet and a low of 3,807 feet. The route is back-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.7 miles in, and the total climb is 238 feet, so the round trip is about 2.2 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on 20 or more days.
