Pocket Creek Tie Nordic is an easy out-and-back hike of about 1.8 miles in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts and ends at about 4,682 feet, with a steady climb to 4,682 feet and then back down. That makes the total round-trip gain about 856 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.7 miles, where the grade reaches about 28 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F, with only about four wet days a month, while winter highs there sit in the mid-30s. Huckleberry Trail and Mountain View Trail, both cross-country ski routes, lie about 0.6 miles away. Alpine Campground is about 3.1 miles off, and Badger Lake campground is about 4.2 miles away.
