Sahalie Falls is a moderate hike of about 4.2 miles on natural trail in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back that gains about 723 feet one way and peaks near 5,185 feet, with the steepest stretch around 0.55 miles in. The total climb and descent add up to about 924 feet each. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months there see highs in the mid-30s and rain on 20 or more days. Old Elk Meadows Trail and Raven Way sit just 0.1 mile away, Alpine Campground is about 3.5 miles off, and Badger Lake is about 4 miles away.
