Mt. Hood National Forest is a climbing area in Oregon's Mount Hood Wilderness, within the Hood River Ranger District of the national forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits inside the larger Mt. Hood National Forest. The climbing here covers a range of styles, with 13 routes in total. Five are boulders, four are ice, and the rest include trad, sport and alpine. The YDS grades run from 5.4 to 5.10c, and the V scale from V2 to V5. Among the named routes are West Ridge (5.4, ice), Rime Dog (5.7, ice) and Koopa Troopa (5.10c, trad). The Upper Wizard Way Trail and Middle Wizard Way Trail both start within a few miles. Alpine Campground and Tilly Jane Guard Station offer places to stay.
