Newton Creek is a 3.6-mile out-and-back hike in the Mount Hood Wilderness, part of the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced. The route starts at about 4,626 feet and climbs to a high point of 5,634 feet, with a total gain of 1,110 feet. The climb is rolling, but the steepest stretch comes at about 1.7 miles in, where the grade reaches 23%. The trail is rated hard. Two other hikes, Gnarl Ridge and Elk Meadows Trail #645, both lie about 0.4 miles away. For an overnight stay, Nottingham Campground is about 3.6 miles off, and Alpine Campground is about 3.9 miles away.
