The Yellow Wall and The Seasons is a climbing area in New York, within Mohonk Preserve, a non-governmental organization land unit. It sits among several other named climbing areas, including the Boxcar Area, Nameless Area and k. The Slime Wall, all within about a tenth of a mile, and l. Sleepy Hollow lies about 0.2 miles away. The area is a trad climber's playground. OpenBeta lists 40 routes, with 37 in traditional style and three in mixed. The YDS grade range runs from 5.3 up to 5.12+. The Yellow Wall itself is a 5.11c trad route, and the hardest is Prick, a 5.12+ mixed route. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Mohonk Lake weather station show July highs around 83°F and lows near 64°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow from December through February. The Old Minnewaska Trail is about a mile away, and Millbrook Ridge Trail and Lake Shore Road are both within roughly 1.4 miles for anyone wanting to pair climbing with a walk.
