La Madre Spring Trail is an easy 1.3-mile loop hike on Bureau of Land Management land within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office in Nevada. It is a short outing with a gentle climb of about 285 feet from a low point of 4,756 feet to a high of 5,264 feet. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable conditions. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F, and October highs around 75°F. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher part of the route run cooler. The trip takes about half an hour. Bikes are not allowed, and the surface is natural. White Rock - Willow Spring Trail is about half a mile away, and The Promised Land and Angel Food Wall climbing areas are each about a mile off. For an overnight, Red Rock Canyon Campground is roughly 7.5 miles away.
