Lost Creek Trail is a short, easy hike on Bureau of Land Management land in Nevada's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office, about 0.67 miles long and with a total elevation gain of 211 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, and the climb is back-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.16 miles in, where the grade reaches 8 percent. The high point is 4534 feet, and the low point is 4456 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits about 750 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The trailhead is Lost Creek Childrens Discovery Trailhead, and the hike takes about half an hour. Bikes and horses are not allowed, and the surface is natural. Climbers will find the Ragged Edges Area, Lost Creek Lower Tier and Graduate Cliff all within about a tenth of a mile. The White Rock Loop is about 0.3 miles away.
