Boulder Lake is a 2.9-mile out-and-back hike in the East Humboldts Wilderness, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District in northeastern Nevada. The trail rises from about 9,072 feet to 10,267 feet, a climb of 1,193 feet, and is rated moderate. The route is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The East Humboldt Highline Trail (#026) starts just 0.1 mile away. Within about 2.5 miles are 1st Boulder and 2nd Boulder, and Steele Lake is about 2.7 miles off. For an overnight base, Angel Lake Campground sits roughly 8 miles away.
