Angel Lake Spring is a short, easy hike in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, within the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District in northeastern Nevada. The trail is about 0.6 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 48 feet, and it makes an out-and-back trip from the low point at 8,378 feet to the high point at 8,415 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to bikes, and the Forest Service manages the land. It stays open year-round, so it works as a quick stop at any time of year. Angel Lake Campground and Angel Lake, a fishing spot, both sit about 0.1 mile away. Smith Lake and the Smith Lake Trail are each within a third of a mile.
