2nd Boulder is a moderate hike in the East Humboldts Wilderness, part of the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about 5 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 1,136 feet from a low point of about 7,773 feet to a high of about 8,908 feet. The trail is natural-surface and allows horses, so it works for riders as well as hikers. Bikes are not allowed. The hike is an out-and-back, and the first Boulder sits just 0.2 miles away. The East Humboldt Highline Trail (#026) is about 2.3 miles off, and Boulder Lake is about 2.4 miles away. For an overnight stay, Angel Lake Campground and the lake itself are about 9 miles from the trail.
