The Clearcut is a bouldering area in Oregon, about 1.5 miles from the town of Sitkum. It is a small cluster of boulders with five routes, all rated for bouldering rather than for climbing on a rope. The boulders sit at a higher elevation than the nearby Coquille City weather station, so temperatures here run cooler than the station's typical averages. July and August are the driest months, with highs around 72 to 74°F and only about four wet days each month. Winter is much wetter, with roughly 20 wet days a month from December through February. The routes are graded on the V scale, with The Stand at V1 and Lily's Problem (Sitting Start) at V4. R-squared, a V3, was first climbed by Dylan Colon in 2016. The area is close to several paddling spots, including Brummit Creek and West Fork Brummit Creek, both about 3.4 miles away, and the Doerner Fir Trail, a hike about 4.9 miles off.
