Jungle Cliff is a climbing area in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. The area is part of a cluster of climbing spots on the Washington side of the Gorge, sitting within about a quarter mile of Broughton Bluff and Spring Rock and close to the Lewis & Clark Trail 400. The climbing here is sport-oriented. Of the 30 routes, 29 are sport, and one is trad. The YDS grades range from 5.9 up to 5.14, with the median around 5.11c. Some of the named routes include Minimancer at 5.9, Total Depravity at 5.11c, and King Louie at 5.12d. Open Project--The Groove. is the hardest, at 5.14. Summer and early fall are the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the Troutdale weather station, about a mile away, show July and August highs near 81°F with lows around 56°F, while September cools to a typical high of 75°F. The closest outings are Broughton Bluff, (6) Bat Wall and (5) Spring Rock, each within a few tenths of a mile. The Lewis & Clark Trail 400 is about 0.4 mile away.
