(3) Red Wall is a climbing area in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, within the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site. It sits on city land, and the surrounding area is a cluster of climbing spots and trails, with several other climbing areas and a section of the Lewis & Clark Trail just steps away. The area has 22 routes, with sport and trad styles making up the bulk of them. The YDS grades run from 5.8 to 5.12d, and the hardest route listed is Trailer Park Sunset at 5.12d. Arch de Triumph is a trad route at 5.8, and Pinhead is a sport route at 5.11d. Summer is the warmest stretch for climbing. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Troutdale show July and August highs around 81°F with lows near 56°F, while winter highs sit in the mid-40s. (5) Spring Rock, (2) Hanging Gardens and (1) North Face all lie about 0.1 mile away. The Lewis & Clark Trail 400 is about 0.2 mile off.
