Spring Rock is a climbing area in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, within the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site. It sits on city land, and the surrounding area is a cluster of climbing spots, with Red Wall, Bat Wall and Hanging Gardens all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here runs from trad routes on the easier end to sport routes with a harder grade. The area has seven routes in total, with four trad and three sport. The YDS grades range from 5.8 to 5.12b, and the median is 5.10c. Among the named routes are Toe Cleavage at 5.8, The Spring at 5.10b and Ground Effects at 5.12b. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Troutdale run to highs around 81°F in July and August, with lows near 56°F. Winter is much cooler, with January highs around 44°F and lows near 35°F. The Lewis & Clark Trail 400 is about 0.2 mile away, and the Boundary hike is about 0.4 mile away. Beaver Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 1.7 miles off.
