Summit Nordic is a moderate hike in the Oak Knoll Ranger District of Klamath National Forest in southern Oregon. It lies about 4 miles from the small community of Colestin, on land managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back, roughly 2.8 miles long with a total elevation gain of 1,173 feet. It starts at about 6,813 feet and reaches a high point of 7,483 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch around 1.1 miles in, where the grade reaches about 17 percent. Mt Ashland, a campground, and Grouse Creek Nordic, another hike, both sit about 0.7 miles away. The Summit hike is about a mile off, and Wrangle Campground is roughly 6.9 miles away.
