Marty's is an easy hike in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in Oregon. The trail is an out-and-back of about 1.5 miles, with a total elevation gain of 341 feet from a low point around 4,080 feet to a high of about 4,298 feet. The climb starts with the steepest stretch of about 13% grade within the first 0.07 miles, but it remains a gentle walk overall. The trail is on natural surface and is open to both horses and bikes. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Howard Prairie Dam weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only two or three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow from December through February. The trail is open from June 1 through October 31, and the hike takes about half a day. Marty's Tie and Lower Marty's both lie within half a mile. Climbers can head to Mt. Ashland's Dream Boulder, about 4.3 miles away, and Mt Ashland campground is roughly 5 miles off.
