The Wonder hike is a 3-mile route in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon. The Forest Service manages the land. The trail is rated moderate, and the climb is a mix of gain and loss, with a low point of 2,921 feet and a high of 3,540 feet along the way. The steepest stretch comes early on, at about 0.4 miles, with a grade of 18 percent. The route is open from June 1 to October 31, and the trip takes about 1.5 hours. The trail has a natural surface and is open to both horses and bikes. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Howard Prairie Dam weather station, about 18 miles away, show July and August highs near 79°F with only two or three wet days a month. Winters there bring frequent snow. Lower Wonder is about half a mile away, and Fell on Knee and Lewis Loops: Gimble are each within a mile. For climbing, Mt. Ashland's Dream Boulder is about 6 miles off.
