Turkey Flat Forest Camp is a Forest Service campground in the Eagle Cap Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and trails, with Arrow Forest Camp about 0.7 miles away and Shady Campground about 1.4 miles off. The site has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Joseph weather station show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F with only five or six wet days a month, while winter highs sit in the mid-30s. Francis Lake Trail and Maxwell Lake Trail are both within about 2 miles, and the Lostine River offers canoeing about 2.4 miles away. The Wallowa Mountains climbing area is roughly 3.9 miles off.
