Williamson Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Lostine River Canyon, within the Eagle Cap Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It sits along the Wild and Scenic Lostine River, and its shady pine and fir trees make it a popular base for summer and fall trips into the canyon or the adjacent Eagle Cap Wilderness. The campground has 8 tent/trailer sites and 5 tent-only sites, all located below the campground road. Some of the riverfront sites are favorites and tend to fill up on weekends and holidays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Joseph weather station show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F with only five or six wet days a month, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Vault toilets are the only facility on site. A fee is charged for camping here. Canyon Forest Camp is about 0.7 miles away, and Walla Walla Forest Camp and Lostine Corridor Campground are both within about 2 miles. The Lostine River, a canoeing route, is about 2.3 miles off.
