Canyon Forest Camp is a Forest Service campground in the Eagle Cap Ranger District of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in northeastern Oregon. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and trails in this corner of the forest, and its vault toilets are the only facility listed for the site. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Joseph weather station, which sits about 600 feet lower, show July and August highs around 79 to 80°F with only five or six wet days a month, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Williamson Campground is just 0.7 miles away, and Walla Walla Forest Camp and Lostine Corridor Campground are both within about 3 miles. The Lostine River, a canoeing route, is about 3 miles off.
