Right End is a climbing area in the Hudson Gorge Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Ledge Area and Starbuck Right each about 0.3 miles away and G: Indian Lake Region about 0.9 miles off. The area has 10 routes, most of them mixed climbs with a few traditional routes. Grades run from 5.8 to 5.10c, with the hardest being Illegal Aliens, a 5.10c trad route. The mixed routes include Andromeda at 5.8 and Starboard Tack at 5.10a. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Indian Lake show July highs around 75°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. For a change from the rock, Ok Slip Falls Trail and Ross Pond Trail are both about 2.4 miles away. Paddlers can head to Big Brook, roughly 7.6 miles off.
