Starbuck Right is a climbing area in the Hudson Gorge Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the wilderness, and the Ledge Area lies just 0.1 mile away, with the Right End about 0.3 mile off. The G: Indian Lake Region is roughly 0.8 mile away, so the area is a cluster of climbing spots close together. The single route here is Perseiid, a trad climb rated 5.8 on the YDS scale. That makes it a straightforward choice for a day on the rock, and the surrounding area offers more climbing within a short walk. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Indian Lake show July highs around 75°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. For a change from the crags, the Ok Slip Falls Trail and Ross Pond Trail are both about 2 miles away. Paddlers can head to Big Brook, roughly 7 miles off.
