Indian Lake Region is a climbing area in New York's Hudson Gorge Wilderness, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the wilderness, and several other climbing areas lie close by, including Ledge Area and Starbuck Right, each about 0.8 miles away. The area has seven routes, with three mixed routes and four boulders. The mixed routes run from 5.6 to 5.7 on the YDS scale and from V0 to V1 on the V scale. Clifford the Big Red Dog and Izi Pizi are both 5.6, and Princess Garnet is 5.7. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Indian Lake show July highs around 75°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Hikers can reach the Hudson River Access Trail about 1.5 miles away and the Ross Pond Trail about 1.9 miles away. Paddlers will find Big Brook roughly 7.4 miles off.
