North Quad is a ski touring route in New York, set within the Gore Mountain Ski Center on land managed by the State Department of Conservation. The climb is an out-and-back of about 1.4 miles, with a total elevation gain of 691 feet from a low point of 2,262 feet to a high of 2,978 feet. The route is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.27 miles in, where the grade reaches 26 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically July and August, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from the mid-70s to the low 70s for highs and the mid-50s for lows. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the high ground run cooler. Nearby, the Long Trail (bike) is about a mile away, and the Adirondack Express, Northwoods Gondola and Sunway ski touring routes are each about 1.4 miles off.
