i. High E is a climbing area in the Mohonk Preserve in New York, managed by a non-governmental organization. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with h. The Arrow Wall - CCK, Andrew Area and Herman Boulder all about 0.1 mile away. The area's name points to its elevation, and the climbs here range from the low 5.1s to the 5.12-. The most comfortable climbing months are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mohonk Lake show September highs around 73°F with lows near 56°F, while July runs about 83°F by day and 64°F at night. That station sits about 235 feet below the preserve, so temperatures up high run slightly cooler. The routes are mostly trad, with one mixed, and the grades span from 5.1 to 5.12-. Among the named routes are Silly Chimney at 5.1, High Exposure at 5.6 and The Throne at 5.12-. For a walk away from the rock, the Old Minnewaska Trail is about 0.9 mile off, and the Millbrook Ridge Trail is about a mile away.
