Snake #162C is an easy out-and-back hike in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, within the Red Rock Ranger District. The route is short, about a mile long, and climbs roughly 120 feet from a low point of 4,428 feet to a high of 4,546 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sedona weather station show October highs around 79°F with lows near 51°F, and April highs around 75°F, while June and July average in the low to mid 90s. The trail is managed by the Forest Service, and the route is open to both horses and bikes. The trailhead sits about 0.2 miles from the Snake mountain biking trail and 0.3 miles from the Anaconda trail. For climbers, Dry Creek Spires is about a mile away.
