Doe Mountain is an easy hike of about 1.5 miles on an out-and-back route in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail gains about 450 feet, from a low point of roughly 4,613 feet to a high of about 5,064 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Oak Creek Canyon weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. The Bear Mountain #54 hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Aerie mountain biking trail is about 0.4 mile off. Climbers can head to the Bear Mountain Area, about 0.6 mile away, and Crescent Moon Ramada offers camping about 5.6 miles from the trail.
