Lizard Head is a hard hike in Wyoming's Popo Agie Wilderness, part of the Washakie Ranger District of Shoshone National Forest. The route is an out-and-back of about 11 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 2,022 feet, starting at roughly 10,000 feet and climbing to about 11,867 feet at the high point. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses, but not bikes. It is open year-round, and the Forest Service manages the land. Bear Lake lies about 0.7 miles away, and Monolith Cirque, a climbing area, is about 0.8 miles off. Warbonnet Peak is about 2.1 miles away, and Dickinson Creek Campground is about 7.5 miles away.
