Ambassador Buttress is a climbing area in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the park's network of climbing spots, and several other climbing areas and trails lie within a short distance. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 75°F and September highs around 78°F, with lows in the 40s and 50s.
