Tuggin' Shack is a rock climbing area in West Virginia, about half a mile from the community of Ames Heights. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable climbing weather. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs near 75°F and lows around 49°F in May to highs near 68°F and lows around 43°F in October, while July highs average about 84°F. The area sits among a tight cluster of other climbing spots. Ronski Feint and Interp Boulders are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Bridge Area is about 0.2 mile off, so it's easy to string several crags into one day. For a break from the rock, the Burnwood Trail also starts about 0.1 mile from Tuggin' Shack.
