Pogo's Place is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Tennessee, about a mile from the town of Apison. The route is roughly 2.4 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 178 feet, and it climbs to about 1,057 feet from a low point near 885 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Chattanooga run to highs around 74°F in both April and October, while July and August average about 90°F with lows near 70°F.
