Highball is a bouldering area in Pennsylvania, about a mile from the town of Mount Gretna Heights. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the Prow Area just 0.1 mile away, The Adjustor Boulder and the Gladiator bouldering area both about 0.2 mile off, and the Pulley Area a short walk away. That makes it an easy place to fit into a day of climbing around the Mount Gretna region. The area's climbing is all bouldering, and the routes range from V0 to V10. HighBall Crack is the easiest at V0, while The House of Cards is the hardest at V10. The Squeak is a V8 route with a first ascent by chetroy, and Agrobat is V4. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lebanon run to highs around 72°F in May and 76°F in September. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so expect temperatures at the rock to run a little cooler.
