Shevlin Loop Trail is an easy out-and-back hike in Shevlin Park, a city-managed park in Oregon, about 2.3 miles long with a total elevation gain of 194 feet. The trail starts at roughly 3,628 feet and reaches a high point of about 3,823 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.7 miles in, where the grade reaches 10 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bend show July highs around 84°F with lows near 49°F and only about two wet days, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days a month from December through February. The Deschutes River lies just 0.2 miles away, and the Tumalo Creek Trail and Manzanita Trail are both within a mile. Climbers can find Skyliners Road about 2.7 miles off.
