Mrazek is a 13.4-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest, within the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District and the Shevlin Park area. The trail rises from about 3,800 feet to a high point of nearly 5,000 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,324 feet, and the steepest stretch comes around the 5-mile mark at about 15%. The route is rated hard, and the climb is rolling rather than a single push. Bikes are allowed, but horses are not, and the trail surface is natural. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bend show July highs around 84°F with lows near 49°F and only about two wet days. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. The hike is open year-round, and the trip is estimated to take about five hours. Bill's Trail and the Tumalo Creek Trail both start within a tenth of a mile, and the Western Larch Trail is about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can find Skyliners Road about 0.6 miles off.
