The trail is about 2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 77 feet and a loss of 96 feet, and it sits at roughly 3,900 feet. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.5 miles in, and the high point reaches 3,969 feet. The trail is surfaced with gravel, and bikes are allowed. Horses are not. The loop makes a quick outing, and the trip is estimated to take about half an hour. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days each month from December through February. Several other trails start close by, including Phil's, Marvin's Garden and the Cascade Highlands Trail, all within half a mile. Climbers can find Skyliners Road about a mile away.
