Meadow Road is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. The route is 1.4 miles long and sits at nearly the same elevation throughout, with a high point of 30 feet and a low of 24 feet. The climb is back-loaded, and the steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.1 mile in, with a grade of 2 percent. Summer is the warmest time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Troutdale run to highs around 81°F in July and August, while winter highs sit in the mid-40s. Several other trails start within a third of a mile, including Meadow, Ranch Dike and Confluence. Climbers can find the (1) North Face area about 0.6 mile away.
