Maggie's Tie is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Zigzag Ranger District. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and sits at about 3,820 feet, with a high point of 3,826 feet and a total round-trip elevation gain of 183 feet. The climb is steady, and the steepest stretch comes within the first 0.05 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The hike takes about half an hour. Wally's Tie Trail #755A is 0.4 miles away and Glade Trail #661 is 0.6 miles away. Still Creek campground is 1.4 miles off, and the Zigzag River offers canoeing about 3.5 miles away.
