Lower Marty's is an easy out-and-back hike in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 884 feet, and it reaches a high point of 3,839 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from June through October. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Howard Prairie Dam show July and August highs around 79°F with only two or three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. The trail is open from June 1 to October 31, and the trip takes about an hour. The closest neighbors are Lamb Mine, about 0.2 miles away, and Marty's Tie and Toothpick, each about 0.3 miles off. For an overnight stay, Mt Ashland campground sits about 5.2 miles away.
