Lower Wonder is a 3.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a one-way climb of 282 feet from a low point of about 2,743 feet to a high of about 3,028 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.13 miles in, with a grade of nearly 29 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ashland show July and August highs in the upper 80s with only a couple of wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 40s and rain on about half the days. Several other hikes sit close by, including Fell on Knee at 0.4 miles and Wonder at 0.5 miles. Bear Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 6 miles away, and Mt Ashland campground is about 7 miles off.
