Grand Slam is a hard hike in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 10.8 miles long, and it rises to about 4,650 feet from a low point near 3,970 feet. The trail is natural surfaced and allows bikes, but horses are not permitted. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sunriver run to highs of about 72°F in June and 76°F in September. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the hike's high point, so temperatures up top run a little cooler. Storm King and Wednesdays are both about 1.4 miles away, and Funner is about 1.8 miles off. For an overnight base, Three Creek Lake campground is about 10 miles away.
