Power Lines is a climbing area in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The district sits about 10 miles from Sunriver, and the closest town is Bend. The area has 21 routes, with 11 in sport and 10 in trad. Grades run from 5.8 up to 5.12b, with a median of 5.10. Trad climbers can try the Supercrack of the (high) Desert at 5.8 or Corona Crack at 5.10-. Sport climbers have Birthday Bulge at 5.10d and Calling Spirit at 5.11a/b. Summer is the warmest time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sunriver weather station put July highs around 84°F and lows near 41°F, while winter highs hover in the low 40s. The Tumalo Creek 2 hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Whoops hike is about 0.9 mile off. For more climbing, Tick Ranch / The Deep is roughly 2.2 miles away, and the Deschutes River offers paddling about 5 miles out.
