Fish Lake is an easy, accessible hike of about 1.8 miles in the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced and out-and-back, with a total climb of about 339 feet and a steepest stretch of about 17% grade near the start. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Potato Butte is about 1.9 miles away, and Lower Lake (Olallie) campground is about 2.3 miles off. The Olallie Butte Trail and Cub Creek, a canoeing spot, are both within about 2.6 miles.
