Wright Peak is a climbing area in the High Peaks Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits in a cluster of trails and peaks, with the Wright Peak Ski Trail about a tenth of a mile away and the Wright Trail about 0.3 miles off, so it works well for combining a climb with a hike or ski tour. The climbing here is alpine, with five routes in total. Grades range from 5.3 to 5.10d, and the styles are all alpine. The Wright Wrong Chimney is a 5.3, and Perilous Journey is the hardest at 5.10d, with the Wright Crack at 5.7. Some of the routes have recorded first ascents, including The Wright Crack by Lori Crowningshield and Jim Lawyer in 2007, and Perilous Journey by Jim Lawyer and Lori Crowningshield. Mt Colden is about 1.9 miles away and Wallface about 2.9 miles, both climbing areas. The West Branch Ausable River, a paddling route, is about 4.2 miles off.
