Panther Gorge is a climbing area in New York's High Peaks Wilderness, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the High Peaks Wilderness, and its routes are all trad, with one mixed and one sport route among the 49 listed. The climbing here runs from about 5.3 up to 5.11a, with the median grade around 5.8+. Haycrack is the easiest route at 5.3, and Anorthosite Overcast is the hardest at 5.11a. Most of the routes were first ascended by climbers including Kevin MudRat MacKenzie, Adam Crofoot and Bill Schneider between 2014 and 2020. The Haystack Trail and State Range Trail both start within a mile, and the Van Hoevenberg Trail is about 0.9 miles away. Pyramid Peak and Gothics, two other climbing areas, are each about 2.5 miles off.
