Beer Walls is a climbing area in the High Peaks Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the High Peaks Wilderness, and the Lower Beer Wall and Upper Beer Wall climbing areas both lie about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is a mix of traditional and mixed routes, with grades ranging from 5.3 to 5.10a. Three routes are listed: Jugs of Beer (5.3, trad), Fast and Furious (5.8, trad) and Live Free or Die (5.10a, mixed). Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Lake Placid show July highs around 74°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. The Washbowl Trail and Henry Stimson Trail are both about 0.6 mile away, and the Nubble Trail is about half a mile off.
