Gothics is a climbing area in New York's High Peaks Wilderness, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the High Peaks Wilderness, and the Adk Range Trail and A.W. Weld Trail both pass within about a tenth of a mile of the area. The climbing here is all trad, with six routes ranging from 5.4 to 5.10d. The Original Route, first climbed by Newell Martin in 1896, is the easiest at 5.4, and the South Face Gothics Direct is the hardest at 5.10d. Other routes include Gothics Arch at 5.6 and Rainbow Slide - Over the Rainbow at 5.6, which was first climbed in 2004. Pyramid Peak is about 0.4 miles away, and Beaver Meadow Trail is about half a mile off. Panther Gorge, a climbing area, is roughly 2.5 miles away.
